Aragon photonics

Introduction

Due to the high resolution and high dynamic range of the BOSA it is now possible to obtain very detailed information from the optical spectrum. Measurement time, resolution and dynamic range do not compete in the BOSA and all of them can be simultaneously maximized without any lost of accuracy. Based on the Brillouin Scattering, the BOSA overcomes the problem of LO sidebands present in heterodyne techniques and reaches a resolution one hundred times enhanced compared with the best grating-based OSA on the market.

Under this enthusiastic and comfortable framework there are several application fields in which the BOSAC benefits are specially enhanced. New spectral information is now available allowing a deep comprehension of the optical phenomena. Designers and researchers now have the perfect tool to study and improve the spectral characteristics of their systems.
